The fine print:

You’re on our site on our terms. By accessing or using UJA-Federation’s (“UJA”) Storytelling site, the "Submit Your Story" platform,  www.ujafedny.org, or any applications UJA makes available (together, the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these terms of use ("Terms of Use"), which affect your legal rights and obligations. If you don’t agree to be bound by all Terms of Use, don’t access or use the Site.

The terms:

We want your posts, but check the rules first. You can post photos, videos, audio, and written content (“Content”) on UJA’s Site for UJA to display on its websites and platforms for others to experience.

By posting Content on the Site, you grant UJA a non-exclusive, fully paid and royalty-free, transferable, sub-licensable, worldwide license to use, display, edit, and reproduce what you’ve posted. You also represent that you’ve got the authority to grant all rights licensed above for the Content you upload, including, but not limited to, any and all intellectual property rights, such as copyrights and rights of publicity. UJA doesn’t own any Content that you post to the Site.

What your posts are and aren’t. You agree that UJA isn’t responsible for, and doesn’t endorse, Content posted within the Site. UJA reserves the right to publish, prescreen, monitor, edit, attribute authorship, or remove any Content, though UJA isn’t obligated to. You may bear legal responsibility if your Content violates these Terms of Use.

We’ve got age limits. UJA doesn’t knowingly collect or solicit any information from anyone under the age of 13 without parental consent. If we learn that we’ve collected personal information from someone younger than 13 without parental consent, we’ll delete that information as quickly as possible. If you believe that we might have any information from or about a child under 13, please contact us.
